Leave a school

Who can do this: Parent

You can remove your own account from a school, for example once your children have moved on and you no longer want access. Your children's records stay with the school.

  1. Open your account menu and choose My Account.
  2. Scroll down to Danger zone.
  3. Under Leave this school, press Leave school.
  4. Type LEAVE in the box.
  5. Press Leave school.

You are signed out straight away.

This cannot be undone

You cannot rejoin the school by yourself. The school would have to invite you again.

What happens

  • Your account is removed from this school. You can no longer sign in to it or get its messages and notifications.
  • Your children's records are not affected. They stay with the school, with their attendance, receipts and documents.
  • Any other parent linked to your children keeps their access.
  • Your other schools are not affected. If you belong to more than one school with the same email address, you can still sign in to the others. See Belong to more than one school.

You can leave a school even when your access there is read-only. See Alumni access.

Note

Leaving the school is not the same as your child leaving it. Only the school can record that a child has graduated or left, so talk to your school office about that.
